SCESoc Christmas Photobooth
Hey SCESoc! Merry Christmas and happy holidays! Come out this Thursday on campus for our Christmas Photobooth, featuring Cameron Davis as SANTA! Dress up in festive apparel and bring your friends for the photo-op with Santa Claus!
How it works:
- Bring at least 2 non-perishable food items to donate to the Ottawa Food Bank

-> Slots are 15 minutes in duration

We will have a camera set up in the Mackenzie Quad! There are a total of 12 timeslots so hurry or else you will be on Santa’s naughty list!

Ciena is a telecommunications networking equipment and software services supplier that is known to be the “world’s biggest player in optical connectivity.” This year SCESoc has the honor of being sponsored by Ciena!
In this event you will learn about what Ciena does and what it is like to work there. Git Workshop
Hey SCESoc, we have an upcoming Git Workshop! The workshop will be held on November 21 at 12pm on Discord!
Set up your first Git Repository! Come out and learn the basics of Git and how to use it in your own projects. Git is a version control tool used everywhere in the Software Development industry. It’s used to maintain a history of the codebase and manage code in a collaborative environment between multiple team members. It’s a really valuable skill to have to secure your first software job.
This workshop will be interactive and by the end everyone will be able to set up their first git repository and push it to GitHub!
For anyone already experienced with Git, feel free to show up as well and help people that are learning it for the first time by answering questions 1-1 and sharing your insights.
