Research & Applied Internships for Black & Indigenous Students In addition to research internships, we also recruit a number of Applied AI interns each term. This summer the applied internship stream is targeting Black and Indigenous students and postdocs to accelerate and expand access to knowledge of AI by providing relevant, hands-on learning and work experience in machine learning and AI. It is designed to meet the criteria of Special Programs in line with the values of the Ontario Human Rights Code, and specifically to assist disadvantaged and underrepresented groups to achieve equal opportunity in the field of AI. If you or someone you know is pursuing an AI study path at an Ontario university this upcoming academic year (Spring 2022, Fall 2022, or Winter 2023 starts), this may be an opportunity you want to check out. The award is valued at $17,500 for one-year of full-time study and nominations are welcome from Core-Tech (i.e. STEM) and Complementary (e.g. health, business, policy) programs.
