This program connects Canadian university students with high school students to help students explore their life, career, and/or academic goals over an extended period of time. They are in specific need for individuals from computer science, engineering and the physical sciences currently. The Canadian registered charity STEM Fellowship provides specialized support for students typically underrepresented in STEM, including students identifying as Indigenous, economically disadvantaged, rural residents, refugees, and new immigrants, but they are open to anyone. Borealis AI, the AI research centre created by Royal Bank of Canada is opening its new cycle for its program Let’s SOLVE it. Let’s SOLVE it is an AI mentorship program that aims to help undergraduate students in Canadian universities and colleges make a difference in their communities through the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
This free 2-months program provides students with mentorship, contacts, training and the guidance needed to solve a problem in their local community and turn their idea into a viable proof-of-concept. We’re looking for teams of 3 to 5 undergraduate students. The mentorship program is conducted virtually and runs from May 1st to July 1st.
